Day 61- Lobster for dinner !!!!!

August 26
It rained lightly most of the night and continued in the morning but at least it was warm and no tropical storm as we had been worrying about. Light rain gear was all that was needed and off we went . We had decided to bypass Bathurst as it was raining and we didn’t want to tackle the traffic so we found Hwy 11 followed it to 8 and then made it back onto the route at Allardville wet and hungry as there was nothing at all exempt for trees along the road we had chosen. We did have a short delay as it was Bob’s turn to have a flat , but we are getting real good at mending them !!!, unfortunately due to a misunderstanding as to were a Tim Horton’s was we missed Ed.
A good breakfast at Allardville lifted our spirits and coincidentally the rain stopped , by then Murray and Jay ( on sweep duty ) had caught up to us so on we went . The roads were good today a lot of wide shoulders and fresh pavement and once again the wind gods were smiling down on us pushing us along nicely, unfortunately there was nothing much to look at , mostly road and trees so not a lot of pictures today.
We stopped again in Miramichi after crossing a very high bridge over the Miramichi river , it was past  1PM so we decided that some nourishment was in order so down to the town we went and found a bakery were we all loaded up with fresh cookies ( I am eating one now as I type this ! ) but no coffee was available so on we went and came across a very nice coffee place were of course we couldn't just have coffee so sandwiches were had ordered and consumed ( something we do real well !!! ) . With full bellies we hit the road doing good time for our last 50 km , but with about an hour to go the rain came back , on went the rain gear and we pushed on , by the time we got to camp it had once again stopped raining.
We are camped near the town of Saint Louis de Kent which will be investigated later .On arriving we saw two big bowls of lobster which confirmed the rumors of a lobster dinner tonight , tents were quickly set up , dry cloths put on just in time for the dinner call and of course it started raining again but there was a shelter so we were able to enjoy our superb dinner without getting wet again : Lobster , rigatoni , bean salad , flambé bananas and ice cream for desert and of course some beer .
Rest day tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
