Oh it felt good to sleep in my own bed !!!!! , very very nice to be home !!!!
I am not sure why we call it a rest day , as more goes on on these days then on ridding days . Yesterday Evelyn picked me up and home we went for a quick shower and then off to her Darryl’s house for the staff BBQ, lovely evening but I ended being up way past my bed time !!!.
In the morning I did sleep in till 7 , then it was putting the laundry together , airing out all my belongings as most things were wet or very damp, then cleaning the bike as I would have been to embarrassed to take it to the bike store in the shape it was in. Back home, more tiding up, then off to a lovely lunch with Monique . Back home to start the packing up and then Pat , Sue and Michael drop in to visit, great to see them !!!!. Then off to pick up the bike from it’s tune up, rear tire change, rear break replacement and re-tapping of the handlebars . Once home more packing, then of to stake dinner at the Keg ( the first stake I’ve had since beginning the trip !!! ) From there we were going to go see Max play soccer but it got canceled so we went to Dairy Queen instead ( were I discovered that you can’t get a real ice cream cone ???? what’s with that ??? ) Then off to see Max’s new fish , home for final packing . Then writing yesterdays and todays blog and now with my eyes barely open I am off to bed , rested: no , but happy to be home : YES !!!!!!!
