What a difference 10 days make , today I rode around the Marsh again , no ice on the Canals , ducks and geese swimming in them , children in short pants playing on driveways and the Marsh a rich black loam colour instead if snow white .
There even was a nice officer with a speed trap actually catching speeders !!!, something I had never seen and all the cycling I have done through the Marsh.
So today was my first evening ride made possible by the time change, I had everything ready at lunch time so that as soon as I got home at 4 all I had to do was change and go . 4.15 I was on the road and took it easy for the first half of the ride enjoying the countryside and the nice weather , stepped it up a bit on the way back as I was not sure of how much light I was going to have but managed to get home with lots of time to spare.
Used the new lights on Keele to get across Hwy 9 , so much safer !!!! and the price was a bit of climbing on the other side , well worth it !!!
42.6 km today, temp around 15 and a bit of a wind from the NW.
