I’d like to bring to your attention Tour du Canada’s Bursary Fund.
Established in 2008 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Tour du Canada ride it is intended to help young people participate in the ride. Funds are awarded to students 25 years of age or younger to help cover a portion of the cost of the trip.
Since the program began, 13 young people - students and recent
graduates - have been awarded bursaries.
It is in my opinion a very worthy endeavour, as coming up with the funds for this trip at a young age is very difficult, add to that trying to pay off student loans etc.. and it becomes an impossibility for most . That is a real shame as a trip like this is more then just a vacation it’s a character building journey that will help mold a young persons life, if you can help even with a small donation it will be greatly appreciated !!!
Now, Tour du Canada is not a charitable organization rather they are a non profit organization so no tax receipt will not be issued, but your donation will help make a young persons dream come true !!!
